Afterglow places the sunflower at the centre of a luminous interplay between gold and shadow, celebrating the flower’s natural intensity and beauty. The fluid movement of colour across the image creates a painterly sense of texture and depth, bringing a dynamic quality to the bloom.
Inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night Over the Rhône and his iconic Sunflower still life, Midnight Sunflower reimagines these timeless works through a contemporary lens. Each artwork from the collection, is produced in a limited edition of 20 in total offering collectors a rare and enduring piece. The image is printed onto sculpturing stone, creating a depth and richness. Every work is set within bespoke timber frames crafted from reclaimed Victorian flooring and fencing adding history, warmth, and a uniquely Australian provenance to each piece.
Every artwork has a stamped and signed certificate of authenticity. Please note, due to variations in computer monitor calibration and the natural character of the stone, this means the printed colours may show subtle differences from the colours viewed on your device.
